Workforce Development Training

Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL) and New College Lanarkshire (NCL) have been working together since early 2021 to support access and roll out of Phase 2 of the Workforce Development Funded employee training, which is funded through the Scottish Govt. Phase 2 is aimed at small to medium enterprises and for the first time and hopefully not the last, the community and voluntary sector (CVS) was invited to participate.

The purpose of the fund is to support the needs of SMEs in Scotland, including:

· To support employer workforce development

· To support employers to upskill and reskill employees

· To support employers to adapt and respond to the impacts of COVID-19

· To support collaborative working for the benefit of the Lanarkshire business community and economy
